Bar Inventory Spreadsheet

Bar Inventory Spreadsheet – If you have stored the bar code of your products in a file, you can take advantage of this information for when you have to take inventory and use the barcode reader to write down all the products that are being counted much faster than doing it manually.

We can do inventory with the barcode reader in many different ways but today we propose to do it on a spreadsheet (it can be Excel, Openoffice Calc, Google … but in our case we will use the Openoffice Calc, of free license).

To do the inventory you only have to have a spreadsheet prepared so that you can go “pistoleando” the products and pointing out the quantities that you are finding. If you put in the spreadsheet the necessary information, you can use the template that we leave you.

Where the green cells are located (columns F, G and H) the product information must be entered, in this case: the bar code, the product code (its internal code) and the description (the name of the product ). You will see that there are green cells up to row 500, it is because this template is prepared to inventory up to 500 products. If once you have pasted your information, we assume that there are 100 products, you are disturbed by the remaining 400 rows, they can be deleted without any problem.

Where the blue cells are, you can “bark” the bar codes with the bar code scanner (column A) and note the amount of product you count (column B). You will see that there are 1,000 rows of blue color, it is because this template is prepared to inventory up to 1,000 counts of 500 products, that is, you can find the same product more than once in the store, so there are more rows to count ( 1000) than products (500).

In any case, if you need a template for more than 500 products or more than 1,000 counts, ask us for the way of contact you want (email, Twitter, Facebook, Google+ …) and we will be delighted.

The operation of the template is simple: in column A (CODI BARRES) we pick the bar code of a product and we get its name:

We puncture a bar code in the inventory template and the value appears on the screen
We paste a barcode into the inventory template

Next, in column B (UNITATS) we put the quantity counted of the product that we just pistolear:

We indicate the counted quantity of product in the inventory template
We indicate the counted quantity of product in the inventory template

Obviously, we can go pistoleando all the codes that we find, without having to be ordered, and we will indicate the amount in column B every time:

We pistoleamos more products with the bar code and we aim the quantity
We pistoleamos more products with the bar code and we aim the quantity

As you can see, you can identify the same product more than once and in the right side, we will accumulate the amount we have in the same line:

We can annotate the same product several times in the inventory template
We can annotate the same product several times in the inventory template

Once all the products have been counted, in the right part of the spreadsheet, we will have a summary of the recount of each product that we can list, print, export to other documents, and so on.

We hope you serve this template but if not, let us know and we will modify it so that you can do the inventory with the barcode reader. We leave you two documents, one in Calc Openoffice format and the other in Microsoft Excel format:
